Lines of research:

She is an expert in proteomics methods applied in food science and technology, consisting of sample extraction, protein quantification (Bradford, BCA), 1- and 2-D electrophoresis, isoelectrofocusing (IEF), protein digestion, immunoblots and LC-MS analysis. She has also broad experience in other analytical techniques, such as determination of the elemental composition of food and feed, and lipidomic analysis.

In 1997, she started working as laboratory technician at the IIM-CSIC and joined the Chemistry of Seafood Products department in 2002. Since 2012, she is a research assistant of Public Research Organizations (PRO or OPIs for its initials in Spanish). She has been continuously involved in numerous projects. She has two registered patents. She has published several journal articles and presented her work at national and international congresses. She has completed many specialization courses and complementary training. She has supervised multiple in-training, master and PhD students, and has taught courses of scientific divulgation.
